Most of us think that this will never happen to us, but it could. You could lose your job tomorrow.

Just turn on the news or open a newspaper, and you will see that thousands of people are losing their jobs every day! People just like you and me. Matter of fact, right here in Florida, counties are cutting staff; from top management, to line employees. Even the space industry is cutting jobs! Most of these people have been in these jobs for years and they don't know how to do anything else! There is no such thing as loyalty anymore. No one is exempt - not even you.

Our career choice is our identity. And if you lose it, whether from a lay-off, termination, retirement, or even health reasons, you may lose more than that weekly paycheck. You may lose your self esteem, and your sense of daily accomplishment. It is easy to get lost.

There is nothing scarier than the thought of losing everything that you have gained. We work hard for our money and our homes. Would you be able to support your family? How would you get affordable health care should something go wrong? Could you continue to pay your mortgage or credit card bills? Unfortunately, many people don't consider that this will ever happen to them, so they are not prepared.

Well I suggest that you get prepared. Start making "Plan B." Take control of your own life and your own financial destiny.

For example; do you like working on computers? Perhaps you could do what I did, and start a part-time Internet site selling a product that you could personally endorse. It is very important that you really like the product - it will show in your words and your actions.

Like many Americans, I had become interested in health and nutrition. Quite by accident, I found a business opportunity with product and company that I would personally endorse. And when you work for yourself, practically everything that you do for that business is tax deductible. This would include your computer, subscriptions, promotional materials, advertising, business trips and meals, mileage, product samples and more. You would need to check the tax requirements of your state, but in general, you can write almost everything off at the end of the year!

Why wait until someone else decides your future? Take control of your own life and become your own entrepreneur. Start your own work at home business now, and within seven months to a year, hopefully you too will be able to say goodbye to your 9-5 job, and say hello to independence and financial security!

I am a happier person and I feel in control of my destiny. And I feel a daily sense of accomplishment, especially when those checks hit the bank account each month!

People love their pets...just as they would any other member of the family. I mean, we buy things for them such as food, toys, collars and more. We feed, bathe, and groom them. We take them to the vet for their yearly vaccinations. And, we can even purchase health insurance for them. I mean - they are like our little people, right?

Absolutely! Our pets are special. They are different for many reasons, but we know that they love us unconditionally, even when they're scolded. After all, we love them, and we raise them to be responsible and respectable around other people and other pets. We teach them to be well behaved in almost every situation.

We hurt when they hurt, and they absolutely can communicate with their people-parents. All you have to do is look into their eyes, and they will speak to you.

Why am I writing this article? Well, I guess that through my own personal experiences, I have discovered something that I would like to share with other pet owners.

We've all become aware that we now need to pay more attention to what we're feeding them because of that awful tragedy last year with pet foods.

So, reality check. What are you giving your pet? What is in that water that you provide? Have you ever thought to ask? You would be horrified if you did research on what is used in commercial dog food - and I do mean horrified! And flea control? It's only been tested for weeks at a time - not long term studies.

Man made chemicals are all around us. We breathe it, we consume it, and we bathe in it. But WE have a choice. Animals don't. They depend on us to keep them happy and healthy!

I admit that we can't get away from yearly vaccinations because of our local laws, but you can try natural alternatives to monthly heart-worm medications and flea control or even allergies. You can also find healthy foods for your pet. It's out there.

But one thing you absolutely can do right now to ensure your pets good health is to provide a natural supplement in their diet so they receive the necessary nutrients they need. Animals aren't so different from us.

That is the one thing that I believe we can do in today's world, find a way to keep you and your pet healthy! Their little bodies were designed just like ours.
