GoChi Celebrity

Jason Mraz

"GoChi is natural and contains no sugar or artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. None of what you don't need and all of what you do. GoChi is goji fuel for the mind and body that keeps me at my best, whether I'm on the road or in the studio."

Jason Mraz, the popular singer-songwriter, FreeLife Family member, and notable GoChi advocate, took a recent break from his busy schedule. In that time, Mr. Mraz admitted to "rediscovering" himself. The talented, 31-year-old musician, who comes from humble beginnings in Mechanicsville, Virginia, has opened for superstars including Alanis Morissette and the Rolling Stones.

His talent and presence had already attracted a loyal fan base, but Jason attributes his year "away" as the key ingredient to realigning himself with a new vision - one that has propelled his career to the next level. "Taking better care of myself," he admitted, was a big part of it.
Currently, Jason's song I'm Yours is holding at the #6 spot on Billboard's Hot 100, and was one of the top 3 downloaded songs on iTunes in the United States, Canada, and Australia. I'm Yours is a hit release from his newly-turned-gold album, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. (Watch the video.) We can look forward to more great things from Jason as well, as he excitedly assured, "There's certain new rules I am playing by.., and a new me." Does Your Energy Drink Contain Alcohol?

Energy Drinks first became popular a few years ago among the under-rested and over-partied college kids. But parents might not know that some of these energy drinks contain alcohol. Drinks such as Sparks, Tilt and Rockstar 21 are packaged and marketed like the energy beverages they are, with one major difference.

In addition to caffeine, they contain alcohol.

  • Tilt: 8 percent alcohol (made by Anheuser-Busch)

  • Sparks Plus: 7 percent alcohol (made by Miller Brewing)

  • Joose: 9.9 percent alcohol (made by United Brands)

By comparison, a 12 oz Busch Beer contains 4.6% alcohol by volume. It seems that alcohol companies mimic marketing strategies used to sell nonalcoholic energy beverages, popular among teenagers.

For example, tech-savvy consumers can spread the word about Tilt by downloading ringtones, screensavers and text-messaging icons from the Anheuser-Busch Web site.

And Tilt, like other alcoholic energy drinks, comes in a slender, silver can that looks a lot like those used by its nonalcoholic cousins.

There are even messages being found on networking Web sites like Myspace and Facebook in which high-school students say they keep alcoholic energy drinks in their rooms because their parents don't recognize them as such.

At most stores selling alcohol, scanners immediately alert cashiers to ask the buyer for identification, but if neither the store chain, nor store managers are aware of these particular energy drinks, your teens may be buying them.

Excessive caffeine from these products can cause health problems. Red Bull, for example, contains 80 mg of caffeine - about the same as a strong cup of coffee.

Fox News reported, that a man who consumed at least four Red Bulls each night suddenly died. "My feeling is - given the evidence available - it was a cardiac arrest possibly contributed to by sub toxic caffeine ingestion," Pathologist Dr. Ian Roberts said this week.

Five Ways to Stay Positive - Even Though Your Life Sucks!

#5. Put Away the Violin. Even if you can't buy that brand new pair of Nike's, be grateful that you have two feet and that you're able to walk, run or skip.

#4. Look on the Inside - what are some qualities on your inside that you like? Do you have a good sense of humor, are you creative, are you musically inclined? Can you draw; sew, cook, or balance the books? Everybody has positive qualities - find yours!

#3. Prove Those Negative Thoughts in your Head WRONG; I wish I looked different - my nose is too big, I need to lose weight; I wish I weren't bald. You've got to change your mind. We all have up's and down's. Every person matters to someone! Do you have at least one person that you can call friend? My mom used to say; "To the world, you're just a little girl; but to me, you are the world!"

#2. It's All About How We Look at Things. Everyone has the same opportunity; there are people that live in mansions that are miserable, and there are people who live in shacks that are happy! Is your glass half full, or half empty?

#1. Just Go For It! Simply get up and do it! Listen to that little voice inside - turn off the computer - turn off the TV. It's time to get off your butt and go for it.

Bonus Tips:

  • Stay healthy. If you feel good, you will look good! Start by eating healthy foods instead of stopping by the burger place for a quick meal on the run.
  • Take supplements each day to improve your immune system. Of course, I would recommend the products available through FreeLife - their supplements and vitamins were all formulated to absorb directly into your system, giving you the most bang for your buck!
  • Drink 4 ounces of GoChi each day!

GoChi - Participants in groundbreaking clinical study report experiencing significantly improved feelings of health in just 14 days!

In a recent human clinical trial featured in the peer-reviewed Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine (JACM), participants drinking a daily serving of just 4 ounces (120 ml) of GoChi reported experiencing significant improvements in 19 diverse areas of health and well-being in as little as 14 days!

In two subsequent human studies, blood tests on participants drinking GoChi showed significant improvements in the body's antioxidant status and in 3 key areas of immunity.

The publication of our first groundbreaking study by the independent experts of a peer-reviewed publication such as JACM represents a first for a functional juice beverage in the Direct Selling industry, and it demonstrates FreeLife's ongoing commitment to supporting its claims with solid scientific research.

GoChi Athletes Win at AVP Tournament!

Two members of our FreeLife Family, volleyball players April Ross and Brad Keenan, were at the tops of their games in the second round of Glendale, Arizona's AVP Best of the Beach tournament on September 26, 2008. Ross was a part of the only seeded women's team to advance, as she and teammate Jennifer Boss impressively captured victory with a 21-8, 21-15 win over Tyra Turner and defending champion Elaine Youngs.

Fellow FreeLife athlete Brad Keenan, along with teammate Jake Gibb, made the most of his opportunity as well with the night's best victory, a 21-19, 28-26 thriller against second seeded Dalhausser and third seeded Sean Scott. Keenan remarked, "It is so much fun out there, playing with different people.., I'm having a blast. It's hard to beat this..,"

FreeLife Endorsements

Athletes from around the world experience the amazing health benefits of drinking GoChi, and Himalayan Goji Juice to help them train and compete at maximum levels. Unlike many commercials you see out there, our endorsements are NOT paid. They truly believe in this product and want to share their secret with you!

Robert Meachem - Professional Football, New Orleans Wide Receiver

"GoChi tastes great and the results are rapid and very beneficial to my body. After a long, hard day of training I am able to rest better at night. I also have more energy and my recovery period during my workouts is much shorter than before. I will continue to take GoChi during my off-season and mid-season programs to keep me feeling great."

Rookie Wide Receiver Robert Meachem was selected as the 27th pick in the 2007 draft by the New Orleans professional football team. A graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Meachem was named a high school All-American by Parade and Super Prep reporting services. Meachem went on to attend the University of Tennessee in the South Eastern Conference (SEC), where he garnered rave reviews, and had what was considered his breakout year in 2006, earning an all SEC, consensus All-American selection.

In 2007, Meachem decided to skip his senior season and enter the pro football draft.

Howard Hodges - Canadian Professional Football Player, Calgary Stampeders

"I recently began drinking GoChi and already, I feel a huge difference in practice. My energy level has been very high and my coach even took me aside and told me that I have had some of my best practices ever this week! To top it off, I have even been sleeping well.., I am just so excited to have been introduced to such a great product. GoChi tastes great and I definitely plan to continue to drink it as part of my daily regimen throughout the season and into the future."

Mario Butler - Professional Basketball Alumni, Puerto Rican League

"Though Mario Butler is my given name, most know me from my playing days as 'The Panamanian Express.' During my basketball career, I always tried to get better every single day and as an athlete, that meant taking great care of my body. Physical fitness has given me so much throughout life.
Back in the day, I was always searching for something to give me a competitive edge, be it strength, concentration, or stamina. I suppose some habits stay with you, as I continue to search for nutritious ways to keep me at my best.

After drinking my very first bottle of GoChi, I already noticed I had begun to feel stronger with a lot of extra energy in the morning. Although I have already retired from basketball, with the additional boost I have received from GoChi, I definitely feel I could play another year. GoChi is just great!"

Frank Velasquez - ATC, CSCS - Professional Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coach

"Himalayan Goji Juice has been a part of my daily nutrition for more than three years. It makes a difference in how I feel on a daily basis, especially during the baseball season when my days are long and intense. When I heard about GoChi, I didn't know what to expect. To my delight….WOW! It has taken how I feel on a daily basis to another level."

Finding the Competitive Edge

Winning athletes will tell you that nothing beats the exhilaration of competition, and that's just as true for weekend golfers as it is for elite Olympians. Even a workout in the gym is an athletic contest: after all, you can only make gains by bettering your own personal best.

We're all looking for a competitive edge, and that's why successful athletes train as hard as they do. And yet, you might be surprised to learn that there are many things that may be preventing you from reaching peak athletic performance. These include:

Poor nutrition - There's a large body of evidence showing a relationship between diet and athletic performance, yet many athletes make poor food choices based on misinformation. For example, many people feel athletes need a high-protein diet to support muscle growth despite the fact that researchers have repeatedly proved this false. The body tends to convert excess protein into body fat, and that's the last thing an athlete wants. Only strength training and exercise will promote changes in muscle, and a well-balanced diet will serve the needs of most active people.

Insufficient hydration - Water is the most important, yet over-looked, nutrient by athletes. Water and fluids are essential to maintaining good hydration and body temperature. Sweat losses to keep the body cool can exceed several liters in a 1-hour period.

Inadequate sleep - Adequate sleep is critical for athletic recovery, as the body's maintenance and repair functions occur mainly at night. An ongoing Stanford University study has shown that a little more high-quality sleep can result in dramatic improvements in athletic performance, mood, and alertness.

Low energy and poor stamina - Everyone runs out of energy sooner or later, but the best athletes are able to fight through fatigue to reach that "second wind."

Impaired focus and concentration - Athletic competition is both mentally and physically challenging. Great athletes learn to tune out distractions by sharpening their focus and concentration.

Free-radical damage - Working muscles generate large quantities of harmful free radicals that, if left unchecked, can cause premature aging of the body's healthy cells. This is why it is essential for athletes to maintain high blood levels of the body's own protective antioxidants superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase.

Here are some tips that can help you to reach peak performance:

  • Follow a balanced athletic conditioning program to build strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, core development, and resistance to injury.

  • Eat a sensible and balanced diet.

  • Drink plenty of water.

  • Drink 4 ounces (120 ml) of GoChi every day!

GoChi - Human clinical studies participants reported experiencing improved athletic performance and increased antioxidant protection

In a recent human clinical trial featured in the peer-reviewed Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine (JACM), participants drinking a daily serving of just 4 ounces (120 ml) of GoChi reported significantly enhanced athletic performance in as little as 14 days! The study participants also reported experiencing improvements in several aspects of health that are considered to be essential for athletic success. These include:

  • Increased energy

  • Less fatigue

  • Sharper mental acuity

  • Increased focus and concentration

  • Better quality of sleep

In yet another randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled study, blood tests on participants drinking GoChi showed highly significant increases in blood levels of the important antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase. This was accompanied by a corresponding reduction in serum levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), a prime indicator of free-radical damage and a known health risk factor.

These studies illustrate FreeLife's ongoing commitment to lead the nutrition industry in clinical research, product efficacy, and evidence-based product formulation.
